HYDERABAD:
Andhra state government is planning a green initiative in power sector as it looks to produce 9,000 MW solar and wind power in coming five years; this initiative will earn (CDM) benefits from carbon credit exchanges for the state.
“5,000 MW solar power and 4,000 MW wind power” will be produced in joint ventures with leading players in power sector in the coming years,”
AP government is looking to exploit its renewable energy sources in the state and also plans to enter into CDM market with financial assistance from central ministry.
Rs 15,718 crore central funding for ‘Power-for-All’ programme for next financial year. A total expenditure of Rs 54,332 crore is estimated to be incurred by the Centre to implement the 24×7 power supply project in three states over a period of five years.
