CIDCO received four bids, for development of Navi Mumbai international airport

CIDCO – City and industrial development corporation, which is nodal agency for Rs 14000 crore Navi Mumbai airport development project, has received requests for the qualification round of bidders from (GMR Delhi), (the GVK-led Mumbai International Airport Ltd), (the Zurich Airport with Hiranandani Developers), and (MIA Infrastructure of France along with Tata Realty).

The development is considered as a boon to boost projects like the upcoming metro rail and Nhava-Sewri sea link.

The airport is scheduled to be operational by 2018-19. The eligibility criteria to develop Greenfield international airport project for the bidders would be that, it must have a minimum net worth of Rs 2,375 crore and also must have developed projects worth Rs 9,500 crore projects.

Once shortlisted for the final round of technical and financial competition the bidder which offers, lowest development and profit recovery period would be awarded this project, said CIDCO sources.

1572 hectares of land, out of the total of 2268 hectares, which is required for the project has been already acquired by CIDCO.
