China Railway Construction has signed $13.1bn deal to build a high speed rail project in Nigeria for a coastal railway line with a length of 1,385 km in one-way mileage and will have a design speed of 120 km/h. The new rail line will go through ten states of Nigeria, including the oil-producing delta in the country. Twenty-two railway stations will also be built along the line, believing that the Coastal Railway Project will promote the economic development of the entire West African region.
