Essel group and the Governemnt of Rajasthan have signed a MoU – Memorandum of understanding to develop Solar Parks at cities of Bikaner and Jaisalmer.
Expected investment is about Rs. 4,000 crore. Dr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman, Essel group, further added that, these solar parks will provide clean energy, without disturbing the states’ heritage and monumental values, The Essel group stands committed, to deliver sustainable energy by empowering people, communities and businesses.
Essel infraprojects Limited has been developing about 3,644 kms of roads across India, already commissioned two solar projects in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Essel Utilities Distribution Company Limited; currently manages power distribution franchise in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. Also, operates water distribution projects in Aurangabad and Bhagalpur.
Essel group has keen interest in developing smart cities, in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. Alongside the group is also involved in gas distribution. Group’s ‘waste to energy projects’ are at Sikar, Deonar, Jabalpur, Pallavapuram, Surat, Bhubaneswar & Bangalore and few more under implementation.
