India to construct residential building near China – Nepal Border

Nepali Rs. 44.42 million contract to construct homes at a historic monastery near China-Nepal border signed by India and Nepal. This deal has been signed significantly ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned visit to the site during his visit to the Himalayan country to attend 18th SAARC Summit later this month.

The Embassy of India, Kathmandu, DDC – District Development Committee, Mustang and Shree Monchoe Dragkar Thegchen Ling (Monastery) have signed the MoU under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation to permit the Indian support of Nepali rupees 44.42 million to construct two storied staff residential building and dining hall.

The pilgrims visiting the monastery at upper Mustang; which is also a historic structure having socio-cultural relevance, would avail better facilities due to the construction of staff residential building and dining hall.
