Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC), is hopeful of getting formal approval from Government of India by next month. Once the approval is obtained then time to time disbursement of funds would begin along with state government.
Assessment of required funds in the next financial year would completed by LMRC in next three weeks and would send it to Centre and state government both for allocating sufficient funds in their 2015 budget (before March 31).
Lucknow Metro is expected to receive Rs 100 crore, allocated in this year’s Union budget once Centre formally approves it. Meanwhile LMRC needs to take an approval from Public Investment Board (PIB). The draft in that regard is ready and LMRC would be sending replies to queries by PIB in a week’s time.
