The union Minister of Railway, Mr.Sadananda Gowda was presented on 8th July 2014 in Loksabha focusing on the challenges faced by Railways today. The budget was presented focusing on the project completion project completion, promoting private participation and improvement in railway operations. Some of the positive announcements were made during the budget by the minister towards the steps related to services provided to the passengers in the trains.

- Mumbai Locals to get 860 new, state-of-the art coaches. 64 new EMUs to be introduced.
