NHAI – The National Highways Authority of India will now start the process of implementation of eight big road and flyover projects in and on the outskirts of the city of Nagpur, after MoRTH – Ministry of road transport & highways has approved to four new projects, making it a total of eight projects at a cost of Rs1,132 crore.
The plan is to provide hassle-free entry to outsiders, which will eventually give relief to the city residents from traffic congestion, all around the city.
Earlier approved four projects are as following – 1. Pardi flyover on Bhandara-Raipur national highway, 2. Sadar flyover on Saoner-Chhindwara highway, 3. Flyover from Hotel Raddison Blu to Hotel Pride on Wardha road and 4. Four-lane road from Kanhan-Kamptee to Zero Mile.
The four new projects are, 1. Cement concrete road from Zero Mile to Khapri on Wardha Road, 2. Widening of Chinchbhuvan-Khapri railway over bridge to four-lane, 3. Cement concrete road from Subhash Square to Pardi Old Naka, and 4. A flyover at Wadi.
