Rs. 40,000cr highway project on the Indian side of Indo-China Border in Arunachal Pradesh

India has planned to construct 2,000km long road worth Rs. 40,000 crore. Which will be monitored by the Union Home Ministry.

The road will run parallel along the China border. The government is also planning an industrial corridor in Arunachal Pradesh, the parliamentary constituency of MoS for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju. The detailed project report is being prepared and will be submitted as soon as possible.

This proposed highway will connect Tawang, East Kameng, Upper Subansiri, West Siang, Upper Siang, Dibang Valley, Desali, Chaglagam, Kibito, Dong, Hawai and Vijaynagar in Indo-China border areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

Central government has relaxed norms and mandatory clearances to ensure speedy road construction along the border areas of the country. This project which will be intersected with tunnels will make travel smooth and easy from one part of  to another in the state.
