Seven major highway projects approved by Centre

The seven major projects have been sanctioned by the centre across India.

The proposal for the seven highway project has been submitted by the Ministry of Road and Transport (MoRTH) for the centre’s approval.

The projects having a total length of 852 km require an investment of Rs 16,000 crore. 

The work for these seven projects will commence on PPP basis include: 

ïDelhi-Meerut Expressway worth Rs 7,855 crore

ïFour laning of Ambala-Kaithal (NH-65) worth Rs 1,176 crore

ïFour laning of Yadgiri-Warangal (NH-163) in Andhra Pradesh, worth Rs 1,487 crore

ïFour laning of Ghaghar Bridge (Varanasi) worth Rs 2,342 crore

ïFour-laning of Sultanpur-Varanasi section (NH-56), worth Rs 1,975 crore

ïFour laning of Kazhakkotta-Mukkola stretch (NH-47) worth Rs 587 crore

ïFour and two laning of Bikaner and Falaudi section (NH-15) worth Rs 903 crore

Above all, an internal target of 8,500 km has been set by the MoRTH for the stretch of highway projects for FY15
