    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today has urged his power department to complete all under construction power projects at the earliest.
    Keen on supplying power from next year; “During a review meeting, the CM ordered Principal Secretary (Energy) to inspect under-construction power projects, at Lalitpur, Bara and Anpara D,
    Akhilesh also ordered launch of a state-wide campaign to issue new power connections and check pilferage. He promised better facilities to honest consumers.
    Setting up of 33/11 KV sub-stations at the tehsil level must be completed by September this year. He said the facility of bill payment through card and net banking has been launched and it needs publicity and arrangements should be made wherein consumers can get information electricity bill on their mobile phones. Directing officials to take immediate action on complaints, Akhilesh said call centres have been opened at distribution companies. He said the government was paying special attention on power reforms in rural areas.
