First project launched in Bangalore

Value Budget Housing Corporation (VBHC) the pioneers of affordable housing segment in the country today announced their entry into the ‘senior living’ housing segment in association with Vedaanta Senior Living.

VBHC in partnership with Vedaanta Senior Living launched its first ever senior living project at its existing project Vaibhava in Anekal near Electronic City, Bangalore. The project comprises 92 units, which consists of 32 one-and-half-bed rooms and 60 two bedrooms, dedicated exclusively to the needs of senior citizens. The apartments will cost between Rs 29 lakhs to Rs 40 lakhs.

We have a long term vision for this segment and have signed up with Vedaanta for 5 projects across the country.

Currently, there are close to 100 million senior citizens in India (the population of senior citizens is projected to reach 240 million by 2050), and there is an immense untapped opportunity in the senior living segment. It promises plenty of new business propositions not only for the developers but for the entire economy to develop and offer customized products and services for this segment.

Special care has been taken in designing the project for senior citizens. Each house is equipped with tablet-enabled services and an alarm system in case of emergency. Understanding the requirements of the occupants, each apartment will have round edged corners with glow paint to enable night vision ensuring their safety. Even extra features, such as shower chairs, anti-skid tiles, grab rails in the bathroom along with no steps/ threshold area outside the bathroom, have been added in each house.

Vedaanta @ Vaibhava, is equipped with state of art facilities and services for a hassle free living at affordable cost for senior citizens. Facilities will include State of Art Common Dining, 24 X 7 Paramedical and Pharmaceutical Facility, IN-house staff for emergency and care, housekeeping and home maintenance, advanced security and system and trained emergency evacuation system. Many The lifestyle in the community will also include comfort factors such as round-the-clock concierge, transport arrangements and advisory services.

Vedaanta @ Vaibhava has two types of living units. 1.5 BHK and 2 BHK, where the 1.5 BHK is approximately 750 sq.ft and 2 BHK is approximately 1000 Sq.ft.
